Please join the DCF team heading to San Marcos de Colon in Honduras September 17-24.  This will be our 8th year of serving in this beautiful small town close in the southern part of the country close to the Nicaragua border.  In previous years we have rendered preventive and restorative care along with extractions to a wide range of patients.  Our partner organization runs a large primary and secondary school and we hope to be able to serve many of the young people.
San Marcos is a safe town with friendly residents.  Our accommodations are very clean and comfortable.  The founder of the mission is from Georgia and she has taught the locals how to cook southern style. The food is wonderful!  Also, if anyone is interested in having custom boots made, this is the place.

We will depart Charleston on Saturday the 17 flying into Tegucigalpa, then traveling by bus to San Marcos.  On Sunday we will attend a local church service and set up clinic.
Patients will be treated Monday to Friday.  Students will gain lots of experience in each aspect of dentistry from the mentor dentists.  We return home the following Saturday, the 24th.

Honduras is one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere and most of the patients that we treat can’t afford even basic dental care.  Honduras is not as exciting as Jamaica or as beautiful as Peru, but it provides a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and serve God.  Come with us……
