Dear Teammates,

You have probably heard “old people” talk about how fast that time passes.  I am here to tell you that it is definitely true.  2017 is fast slipping by.  It’s been a great year as we have been able to participate on multiple service trips this year as well as get in a little vacation time too.

2018 will be here before we realize it and I’m excited about kicking off the new year by returning to Peru to serve.  This is a lovely spot and we have had good experiences there for the past 6 years.  We hope to serve lots of dental patients as well as those needing reading glasses.

From a dental perspective, we can expect to do lots of restorative work, along with preventive and some extractions.  In general, the population of patients that we treat have a pretty high dental IQ.

We will be arriving in Cusco early on Sunday morning, traveling to Pisac, resting, and then setting clinic or shopping on Sunday afternoon.  We will be holding clinic for 4 long days and then some will be touring Machu Picchu on the last Friday.  Saturday can also be for shopping (Susalee likes to prepare early for Christmas gifts), before departure back to Lima and the U.S. on Saturday night.

Some have arrived into Cusco early or stayed late, so give that consideration as you book your flights.  All that we ask is that you plan to meet the group at the Cusco airport at 6:30 on Sunday January 7 and plan a late afternoon departure on Saturday the 13th.  If you have questions, please get in touch with Katie Koon, DCF Administrator prior to booking tickets.

If I can be of help as you plan, please feel free to let me know.  I am grateful for each person’s participation and I am looking forward to serving our Lord and the people of Peru.

Blessings and thanks,
Dr. Bill
