Making Memories. Sharing Life.

April 1 – May 31, 2017

Support DCF through this unique fundraiser to honor our work abroad with a permanent memento for your home or office. Each piece of artwork is beautifully crafted as an original and timeless expression of a DCF memory. These pieces are made available for a limited time through partnership with fine artist Lynda English and photographer Nigel Mallon.

Your tax deductible support will help DCF continue its mission to provide dental care to the under-served overseas, and opportunities for the spiritual growth of students and dentists here at home. Artwork is being offered as a special gift for donations received through May 31, 2017. Free shipping in the U.S. is included.

Nigel Mallon, Photographer

Nigel Mallon is a UK dentist who first picked up a camera whilst on military service in Borneo 1987 but then left it dormant for many years. He would describe himself as just an ordinary person who has had some extraordinary opportunities. None more so than going on his first DCF trip and meeting Dr. Bill and Susalee Sasser in Ecuador in 2007. The experience would open the door to numerous international dental volunteer trips particularly in Africa showing God’s love in a practical way and encouraging the next generation to serve. During these journeys, Nigel naturally connected with those around him and his self-taught photo journalism re-emerged particularly in capturing portrait shots.

He also has an MA in Theology, a Diploma in Clinical Education and best part of a Post-grad certificate in Oral Surgery, so ‘God knows he should be able to teach you how to take a tooth out!’

Dental Community Fellowship (DCF)

Established in 2002 as a student chapter of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA) located at the College of Dental Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina. DCF exists to provide dental students with opportunities for international dental service and encourage personal spiritual growth in the lives of its participants at home. The vision of DCF is to impact our dental world in response to God’s love and for His glory.

DCF organizes short term dental mission trips to a number of international destinations each year. We also strive to create an environment for the development of Christian relationships that provide a context for the personal growth of dental students here at home.

In addition to our local gatherings we have various bible study groups that meet on campus at MUSC. Please contact us at dentalcommunityfellowship@gmail.com for more information.
