Dental Community Fellowship will provide another dental service outreach with our friends in Honduras working in conjunction with Good Samaritan Baptist Mission in San Marcos de Colon from September 9-16, 2023.

The plan is to depart Charleston early on Saturday, September 10. The team will be met at the airport in Comayagua (XPL) at noon, and travel by bus to San Marcos. XPL is the new airport serving Tegucigalpa. Return will be the following Saturday.

We will worship at church on Sunday, arrange our clinic in the afternoon, and treat patients Monday-Friday mid-day providing extraction of non-restorable teeth, preventive cleanings, and basic filling/restorative care. Reading glasses will also be offered to the patients who present for this service.

Workers are needed to include private practice dentists, dental students, and logistical support helpers. All are welcome, but space is limited to 25 total volunteers. The trip cost will be $1000 for students and $1200 for dentists/helpers, which includes food and lodging while in country. Your application deposit of $100 will go towards that cost.

PLEASE NOTE: applications close July 31st in order to comply with Honduran government regulations.
