The Christian Medical and Dental Association’s Emerging Leaders in Dentistry Symposium was held June 28-30 2013 in Bristol Tennessee. The Symposium was a weekend long event involving premier dentists and representing dental students from several schools across the country. With a variety of presentations that ranged from establishing a Christ centered practice, to domestic and foreign mission work, to living life intentionally and with a purpose, this weekend is designed to give students insight on life after dental school from dentists who have already succeeded in their respective fields. Headlined by Dr. Peter Dawson, who is arguably the most accomplished dentist of our time, students were able to interact with dentists and other 
students in a setting that would likely come at a significantly higher cost elsewhere. With meals and accommodations provided, students are given the opportunity to step away from their typical dental school routine and fellowship with other believers while simultaneously developing leadership and practice management skills.
